This policy applies to our mobile applications ("Drive X" rider app and "Drive X Captain" driver app) and related services (collectively, the "Service").

To provide our transportation and shipping services, we collect the following types of information:
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you create a Drive X account, we collect your name, email address, password, and National ID number. Your phone number is optional.
- Profile Information: You may choose to provide a profile picture.
- Payment Information: We collect payment details to process fares and wallet top-ups. Full credit card details are handled by our secure third-party payment processor (Paymob). We do not store your card numbers on our servers.
- Driver Information: For captains (drivers), we additionally collect vehicle registration details, driving license, and vehicle photos for verification purposes.
- Communications: We collect information you provide when you contact customer support.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
- Location Information: We collect precise location data from your mobile device when the app is in use (foreground and background) to enable ride booking, driver matching, trip tracking, and shuttle stop proximity detection.
- Trip Information: We collect details of your rides, including date, time, pickup/drop-off locations, route, distance, and fare.
- Device Information: We collect your device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Information: We collect information about how you interact with our app.
- Transaction Information: We record wallet transactions, payment history, and booking records.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Service including ride-hailing, shuttle, and shipping services.
- Process payments, wallet top-ups, and prevent fraudulent transactions.
- Match riders with nearby drivers and calculate fares based on distance.
- Ensure the safety and security of our users through driver verification and SOS features.
- Provide customer support.
- Communicate with you about trips, services, promotions, and updates.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Payment Processing
Drive X uses Paymob as our secure payment gateway. When you top up your wallet or make a payment:
- Card payments are processed through Paymob's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
- Mobile wallet payments (Vodafone Cash) are processed through Paymob's mobile payment integration.
- We never store your full card details. Only transaction references and amounts are recorded in our system.
- All payment data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption.
4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information as follows:
- With Drive X Captains (Drivers): We share your name, profile picture, rating, pickup location, and drop-off location with drivers to facilitate the ride.
- With Payment Processors: We share necessary transaction data with Paymob to process your payments securely.
- With Third-Party Service Providers: We work with partners for services like cloud hosting (Firebase/Google Cloud), mapping (Google Maps), and notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- For Legal Reasons: We may share information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Drive X and our users.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
- Secure credential storage using Google Cloud Secret Manager.
- Server-side payment processing — sensitive payment credentials never touch client devices.
- HMAC verification for all payment webhook callbacks.
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access and update your profile information through the app's settings. You can also control location data collection through your device settings, though this will limit app functionality. You may request account deletion by contacting support.

Drive X is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
